A woman (probably Lis Beyer or Ise Gropius) wearing a mask designed by Oskar Schlemmer, seated in a Marcel Breuer Wassily Chair. Created in 1926, this scene embodies the avant-garde spirit of the Bauhaus movement.
The woman, adorned with Schlemmer’s mask, is likely engaged in a playful or theatrical expression, as Schlemmer was associated with the Bauhaus theater workshops. The mask might be a geometric and abstract form, reflecting the Bauhaus emphasis on merging art and functionality.
The choice of the Marcel Breuer Wassily Chair adds another layer of modernism to the composition. Designed in 1925-1926, this chair is a hallmark of Bauhaus furniture design, featuring a tubular steel frame and leather straps. The combination of the mask, the chair, and the year of creation places this scene at the intersection of avant-garde art, design, and the innovative spirit of the Bauhaus school in the 1920s.
Our framed canvas prints feature a high-quality cotton blend and provide a matte smooth surface investigating the details and all color palettes.
Professionally framed in solid wooden Outline Frame. This unique profile creates a subtle shadow within, adding depth and dimension.
This art form is based mainly on geometric shapes clearly defined lines and primary colors.
Part of our Bauhaus-inspired collection of posters.
A great addition to any interior.

€110.00€95.00Expo 67’s Pulp and Paper Pavilion, sponsored by the Canadian Pulp & Paper Association, celebrated Canada’s rich natural resource of forestry and its crucial role in paper production. Designed by William Kissiloff of Kissiloff & Wimmershoff, the pavilion’s roofline resembled a forest, standing out between giant neighboring pavilions. Inside, visitors experienced the history of papermaking in Canada, surrounded by walls designed to mimic unrolling paper rolls. The pavilion’s poster, crafted by Ernst Roch, captured the geometric expression of the pavilion’s roofs and showcased the mathematical precision of its design. It successfully conveyed the vital impact of the pulp and paper industry on Canada’s economy while highlighting the nation’s exploration of the physical world and its drive to create and understand.
