€115.00€95.00Marianne Brandt (1893-1983) was a German sculptor, painter, photographer, metalsmith and designer.
She studied at the Bauhaus art school in 1924 under Lazlo Moholy-Nagy. Upon his recommendation she explore her talent for industrial design in the metal workshop, a department that until then had accepted only men. In 1928 she became head of the Bauhaus Metal Workshop.

Inside, visitors experienced the history of papermaking in Canada, surrounded by walls designed to mimic unrolling paper rolls. The pavilion’s poster, crafted by Ernst Roch, captured the geometric expression of the pavilion’s roofs and showcased the mathematical precision of its design. It successfully conveyed the vital impact of the pulp and paper industry on Canada’s economy while highlighting the nation’s exploration of the physical world and its drive to create and understand.
