Δανέζικο Έπιπλο

A woman (probably Lis Beyer or Ise Gropius) wearing a mask designed by Oskar Schlemmer, seated in a Marcel Breuer Wassily Chair. Created in 1926, this scene embodies the avant-garde spirit of the Bauhaus movement.

The woman, adorned with Schlemmer’s mask, is likely engaged in a playful or theatrical expression, as Schlemmer was associated with the Bauhaus theater workshops. The mask might be a geometric and abstract form, reflecting the Bauhaus emphasis on merging art and functionality.

The choice of the Marcel Breuer Wassily Chair adds another layer of modernism to the composition. Designed in 1925-1926, this chair is a hallmark of Bauhaus furniture design, featuring a tubular steel frame and leather straps. The combination of the mask, the chair, and the year of creation places this scene at the intersection of avant-garde art, design, and the innovative spirit of the Bauhaus school in the 1920s.
