Oval PASSED sticker similar to this was attached to virtually all camera equipment exported from Japan between the 1950s to the mid-1980s. JCII stands for Japan Camera Industry Institute, and JMDC for Japan Machinery Design Center. These stickers were attached to camera products that satisfied minimal quality requirements and were not blatant copies of German camera products of the time.

Petri 7s film camera, made by Kuribayashi Camera Industry Inc, 1963. Petri 7S 35mm rangefinder film camera sporting the PETRI 45mm f/1.8 fast prime amber-coated fixed lens. The camera’s uniqueness is its exposure meter design. Called the Circle-Eye exposure system, the lens is completely surrounded by a selenium cell (ATL) for light metering providing very accurate light readings. Yashica Mat 124G
The last twin lens reflex ever produced by Yashica, and the most advanced. Designed as a Rolleiflex copy (and doing a darned good job of it), the Mat-124 G features a four-element, 80mm f/3.5 lens set of the better “Yashinon” variety, shutter speeds from 1-second to 1/500th, an aperture range of f/3.5 – f/32, a bright ground-glass viewing screen, a crank arm film advance, and ergonomic aperture/shutter controls. Totally new not used.
