Nikon EM SLR film camera. Manufacturer by Nippon Kogaku K. K. Made in Japan, 1979. The Nikon EM is an electromechanically-controlled manual focus SLR powered by two S76/A76 cells or one 1/3N battery. Since it is made for amateur photographers, it is lighter (thanks to its polycarbonate top and bottom covers and copper-aluminum alloy body), less bulky, and is far simpler to use. It has aperture priority, semi-automatic exposure control powered by a 60/40 center-weighted silicon light meter and a viewfinder that has a needle that indicated the exposure on a shutter speed scale. This vintage item remains fully functional in perfect working order. Comes with the original case.

Shutter: horizontal cloth (vertical metal on X model) metal focal plane, 1/1000 to 1 sec and B. Flash: Hot and syncro-x, X at 1/60, MF at 1/30. (1/90s on X model). Self-timer: mechanical, 8-9 sec. This vintage item remains fully functional in perfect working order. Comes with the original nylon shoulder strap.
