Smena -8M film camera manual 35mm shootbox, 1970’s, made in the USSR.  Has a coated “Triplet” lens that delivers nice saturation and contrast. Lens: three element triplet lens, the T-43. Exposure: exposure controls are all on the lens, which allows for apertures from f/4 though to f/16.  Interestingly the apertures are also the ISO control. Speed range: from 1/250 to 1/15 of a second and Bulb. Tripod socket. This vintage item remains fully functional in perfect working order.

The word “Smena”  (CMEHA) literally means “Young Generation” in English – an apt name for a line of cameras produced by the esteemed LOMO factory in St. Petersburg, Russia
