Oval PASSED sticker similar to this was attached to virtually all camera equipment exported from Japan between the 1950s to the mid-1980s. JCII stands for Japan Camera Industry Institute, and JMDC for Japan Machinery Design Center. These stickers were attached to camera products that satisfied minimal quality requirements and were not blatant copies of German camera products of the time.

Agfa Silette-L 35mm film camera. Has a Color Agnar 45mm f/2.8 lens and a Prontor 125 shutter. The shutter speeds are B, 1/30, 1/60, and 1/125 sec. Not exactly a big range to choose from, but certainly workable. The minimum aperture is f/22. The Selenium meter is read from the top deck of the camera, and adjusting the dial to the left of the match needle to center the needle gives you the shutter speed/aperture combination to set the exposure to. Petri 7s film camera, made by Kuribayashi Camera Industry Inc, 1963. Petri 7S 35mm rangefinder film camera sporting the PETRI 45mm f/1.8 fast prime amber-coated fixed lens. The camera’s uniqueness is its exposure meter design. Called the Circle-Eye exposure system, the lens is completely surrounded by a selenium cell (ATL) for light metering providing very accurate light readings. Since it is made for amateur photographers, it is lighter (thanks to its polycarbonate top and bottom covers and copper-aluminum alloy body), less bulky, and is far simpler to use. It has aperture priority, semi-automatic exposure control powered by a 60/40 center-weighted silicon light meter and a viewfinder that has a needle that indicated the exposure on a shutter speed scale.
