Petri 7s film camera, made by Kuribayashi Camera Industry Inc, 1963. Petri 7S 35mm rangefinder film camera sporting the PETRI 45mm f/1.8 fast prime amber-coated fixed lens. The camera’s uniqueness is its exposure meter design. Called the Circle-Eye exposure system, the lens is completely surrounded by a selenium cell (ATL) for light metering providing very accurate light readings. Since it is made for amateur photographers, it is lighter (thanks to its polycarbonate top and bottom covers and copper-aluminum alloy body), less bulky, and is far simpler to use. It has aperture priority, semi-automatic exposure control powered by a 60/40 center-weighted silicon light meter and a viewfinder that has a needle that indicated the exposure on a shutter speed scale.
