Agfa Silette-L, 1962 -Rent Only-
Agfa Silette-L 35mm film camera. Has a Color Agnar 45mm f/2.8 lens and a Prontor 125 shutter. The shutter speeds are B, 1/30, 1/60, and 1/125 sec. Not exactly a big range to choose from, but certainly workable. The minimum aperture is f/22. The Selenium meter is read from the top deck of the camera, and adjusting the dial to the left of the match needle to center the needle gives you the shutter speed/aperture combination to set the exposure to. The Paramat has only one shutter speed, and the aperture is set/controlled by a CdS exposure meter activated by half-pressing the shutter. A green indicator in the viewfinder and top plate indicates correct exposure and red for underexposure. Lens: Apotar 30mm 2.8. Focus: Manual. Tripod socket. The camera was constructed of all metal, with nickel hardware and covered in seal grain leather. Lens: simple meniscus lens type, Achromat 75mm f/8.Aperture: holes on sliding disc, f/8 and f/11. Focusing: zone focusing via the ring on the lens, scale for flash distance, and aperture. Focus range: 1.5-10m +inf. Shutter: one speed, spring-loaded rotary shutter, bulb (B), and moment (M) around 1/50. Features included an optical viewfinder, double exposure prevention, top-mounted synchronized flash attachment, and a tripod socket.
